Our favourite Man Utd players from the 2021/22 season

I think every Manchester United fan can agree... it has definitely been a tough season to be a United fan. Results have been shocking for the majority of the season and when you look at the squad names on paper it is definitely safe to say the team should be doing much better. Things just haven't gone right way though and I am sure there are plenty of reasons why and a lot of those are certainly what is going on behind the seasons. When I saw this post approaching on the calendar I honestly sat and thought to myself usually this list would feature far too many players as I normally struggle to narrow the list down due to some great performances over the season, this year though 4 names came to mind and that was it. This is definitely the easiest favourite players list I have ever done. So here are those players that I believe have had a pretty good season, not great, but good enough for them to stand out to me...

David De Gea

I think it is safe to say De Gea has really helped the club out this season and put in some fantastic performances to keep the club in the top half of the season. Defence has been a weak point at the club and it has often been left to him to step up and stop the opposition in situations where the defence have simply switched off. De Gea has definitely stepped up this season and fingers crossed he can do this again next season as when he is at his best the club really benefits. Maybe it was the though of Henderson breathing down his neck for game time that helped him pull of some great saves or maybe it is the new manager coming in but whatever it is let's hope he has another good season next season.

Cristiano Ronaldo

A lot of people are saying Ronaldo has been the big problem at the club this season but I am not sure how you can say that when some of his performances have certainly helped keep the club in the top half of the table and some of his goals have just been fantastic. The club had been having problems long before Ronaldo came back and if anything he has linked up well with most of those around him including youngster Elanga. His return helped win back some fans after last season too and I just hope he is still at the club next season as I think he could end up being a key player in the rebuild and really help push for some trophies to return to the club at long last.

Anthony Elanga

Youngster Elanga has definitely had a good season in my eyes and has really shown us fans just what he is capable of. I think if he stays on the right track and injury free he is going to be a player that Ten Hag just can't ignore. I am really hoping we see plenty of him next season and he shows us that this season wasn't just a one off with how well he played in some important games. I think he could see him being one of the big names in the future if he continues the way he has done.

Fred

I know a lot of people will be reading this and questioning this choice however, I think compared to past seasons Fred has actually performed quite well. Watching him play alongside Ronaldo he has made some great link up passes and got United into some really good positions on the field. He has definitely had one of his best seasons in a United shirt this time round, whether that is the players around him looking poor or due to him upping his game well I guess it could be either reason really but he is definitely a player that has stood out to me.

So there you go those are my favourite Manchester United players for the 2021/22 season it has definitely been a rough season as I said at the start of the post but fingers crossed next season is going to be much better especially if the club sticks to its promise of a decent transfer budget for Ten Hag to really rebuild the team which we all know has been needed for a long time now. Let's hope the next time I am writing a post about my favourite Manchester United players it is actually harder to narrow the list down like it used to.

Who were some of your favourite Manchester United players for the 2021/22 season?

Our thoughts on the 2021/22 Premier League season

Watching the Premier League on the TV during the 2021/22 season finally felt like normality had returned to life with the fans returning to the stadium. We no longer had to look at empty stands and listen to pre-recorded fan noise, we finally got a sense of that fantastic atmosphere that games had seriously missed during the pandemic but please can we stop with the pitch invasions are they really needed?

This season was a bit of a mixture really with plenty of lows especially for me as a Manchester United fan, but let's not go there just yet. The season was so close this time around with no clear winner right up until the final day and even down at the bottom the relegation battle went down to the wire which just goes to show how close the season was all round which for me is always the best I much prefer when it is constant battles rather than one clear winner. There were plenty of shock results throughout the season too with the team you thought would struggle actually coming out on top, I am quite glad I didn't place any bets this season as I would have definitely lost far too much money.

As for Leeds United this season they definitely got very lucky on that final day and honestly thought Burnley would have ended up scraping it and staying up not Leeds. I am interested to see how Leeds do next season as I think they are going to have to bring in some quality players whilst also try to cling onto some of the bigger names in the squad that are being looked at by bigger teams.

Everton were probably one of the teams that shocked me the most throughout the season as I really didn't expect to see them in the relegation battle for as long as they were and to be honest I think they had a bit of a lucky escape due to the fixtures they had towards the end of the season compared to Burnley & Leeds. When you look at the Everton squad on paper with the names they have they should be challenging for European places so let's hope they can get back on track next season and perform much better.

Being a Man Utd fan when it came to who won the league honestly I didn't want Man City or Liverpool to win it but in the end I am honestly quite glad that Man City won it as they actually looked great all season, the quality in their team is unreal really and they are only strengthening it going into next season which makes you wonder if they will be able to run away with the league next time around? Fingers crossed though there will be a few other teams really pushing and challenging for that top spot next time around though.

Chelsea seemed to have had a hit and miss season too but I think theirs isn't just down to the players as we saw the results start to change when the ownership issues begun, with players uncertain about their futures I guess things were always going to take a bit of a turn but at least they are resolved now and they can look ahead to a new chapter where they are playing as they should once more. I am gutted to see Rudiger go though as I always thought he was such a good player, I would also really love to see them give the youngsters a bit more of a chance next season too.

Well I guess it is time to talk about Manchester United, what an absolutely terrible season they had and honestly I actually stopped tuning in to most of their games as they were painful to watch the majority of the time. Obviously they had all the issues with Greenwood which really didn't help but then again neither do the owners that just don't seem to do anything to help the club get back to where they once were. There are also players who seem to think they are untouchable and management helped them with that case by still picking them even after consistently terrible performances. I am just really hoping that bringing in the new manager will really shake things up and bring in some players that actually want to play for the club for a change. A lot of people are blaming Ronaldo for the issues but at the end of the day he has been back for one season now and these issues have been going on for a lot longer than just last season and a big rebuild is needed in a variety of areas at the club.

I really do feel for Norwich as they are one of those yo-yo teams who just bounce between the Championship and Premier League, I think a few people expected them to be relegated this season but fingers crossed that when they reach the Premier League they can stay up for a bit longer. They just couldn't seem to hit the ground running this season though winning just the 5 games.

West Ham are a team that really surprised me this season. They ended up finishing a comfortable 7th this season and put in some great performances whilst also going a very long way in the Europa league which I don't think anyone expected. It is going to be an interesting off season for West Ham and I think if they can keep hold of some of those bigger names we could see them having another good season in 22/23. Tottenham are another team that surprised me as I really didn't expect to see them finishing in 4th place, Spurs seem to be a bit of a dark horse team lately and I think with the right recruitment in a few years we could really see the best out of them and maybe even see them start picking up some trophies.

With the start to the season that Newcastle had I really don't think anyone expected to see them finishing in 11th place but the new owners and Eddie Howe really turned the club around and got them playing a whole lot better than anyone expected. I think if they keep hold of some of the big names and bring in a few new players to strengthen some positions and the squad overall we could really see a Newcastle team that are capable of anything, these new owners seem to have come in with a lot of promise so lets hope everything works in their favour.

Brighton are another team that really stood out to me and put in some great performances throughout the season. Again they are a team that I didn't think would finish so high up the table as they finished 9th. They are another team that can be seen as a bit of a dark horse and again if they can keep as much of the squad together as possible whilst also strengthening other areas I think we could see some more fantastic performances from them, ones to rival that 4-0 win against Manchester United which honestly I still can't believe.

I think it is safe to say that during this off season we are going to see a lot of change at a lot of clubs with plenty of interesting transfers taking place and I am looking forward to seeing where a lot of players end up moving to and seeing who brings the most strength into their squads. Fingers crossed we are going to be in for another really close and interesting season for the 22/23 season but with the World Cup disrupting the season in the winter I guess it is all going to be which team can adapt and stay strong during a busy schedule, maybe some of those dark horses will make a big push during those periods especially if they have a lot of players who won't be playing all those extra World Cup games. But for now the countdown to the start of the new season begins.

Favourite Premier League Third Shirts 2021/22 Season

Here we go another football shirt post, this time it is all about the third kits that are on offer in the Premier League this time around. Today's post is all about my favourite third shirts for this season's Premier League campaign, it is safe to say in recent years I have actually preferred the third kits some manufactures have come out with rather than their away offering as I think they are often a bit more adventurous with what they bring out. Granted this season we have seen shocking third shirts revealed but alongside that we have also seen some pretty good ones too. So here are my favourite third shirts for the 21/22 Premier League campaign...

Crystal Palace

In recent years Crystal Palace have had some hit and miss shirts but this season I quite like a few of their offerings. The one shirt of theirs this season that stands out to me the most though is their third shirt. I just love the colours of light blue and white and how they work so well together. I also love the subtle design worked into the shirt that from images looks great. Puma have done well with this design compared to some of their others.

Everton

I mentioned how I liked the Everton away shirt but honestly I think I may like the third shirt that little bit more. I don't know why fully but I think it might be due to the design running through the middle of the shirt, it is almost like someone has grabbed a Tyre an just rolled it across the shirt and hung the mark to dry. The colours on the shirt also work really well together and it looks like a nice clean design even with the design going down the middle.

Leicester City

There is just something with Leicester where I end up loving at least one of their shirts each season and this year is no exception. I love the colour of this shirt as it is quite different to other offerings and I love the pink of the badge and Adidas logo as they really stand out from the shirt due to how bright they actually are. The only thing with this shirt is the sponsor being in white I would definitely love this shirt even more if it carried on the pink theme.

Southampton

Southampton are a team that normally slip under my radar in terms of shirts but this years third shirt from Hummel has certainly changed that and I am really loving what they have released. I love black shirts as I think they look really smart but I love how the main detailing is all in red for this shirt as it just stands out and fits the shirt really well. The main selling point for this shirt for me though is definitely the design on the shirt if you look really closely... the little football pitches that make up the overall shirt print is fantastic and honestly at first I didn't even notice them.

There could easily have been a few others added to this post but these shirts are certainly the ones that have impressed me the most and ones I would happily purchase for my own shirt collection. It won't be long now until teams start announcing special edition shirts so no doubt there will be more Premier League shirt posts coming in the future, but next week we will start to take a look at shirts from leagues outside of England as they have some fantastic shirts on show this time around.

What is your favourite Premier League third shirt for this season?

How Did The Summer Transfer Window End For Manchester United 2021/22

I don't know what has gone on at Manchester United but for once I can easily say I am very happy with how their summer transfer window has gone. I am not sure if last seasons fan protests and criticism has helped but for the first time in a while we have seen them get the players they were actually targeting and actually bringing them into the club which is great as they have managed to get some very big names at the club.

It makes you wonder if their recent run of good results and moving up the table to actually challenge those top clubs again has really helped and as a fan it really does give me a bit of hope for the future and makes me a bit more hopefully of seeing Manchester United lift a trophy some time soon. Ole has definitely strengthened the squad but whilst doing so he hasn't lost much which is always a good sign that players are wanting to stay at the club rather than wanting to jump ship. There might not have been a lot of permanent departures but this time we have seen a lot of loans especially for the younger players to go out and get some experience which is always nice to see. So lets take a look at how Manchester United's summer transfer window ended.

Out's

James

Joel Pereira

Jacob Carney

As I mentioned earlier there weren't actually many permenant departures which is great to see. Two of those departures (Pereira & Carney) are goal keepers so it is nice to see them move on to hopefully get playing time as for some reason Manchester United seem to have far too many backup goal keepers who never get a chance. They also lost Daniel James to Leeds but I think James is going to really benefit from this move as his game time would have been drastically reduced with the players brought in so at least now he might finally get to show us just what he is made of.

Loans

Devine - St Johnstone

Bishop - Mansfield Town

Chong - Birmingham City

Fish - Stockport

Bernard - Hull City

Pellistri - Alaves

Tuanzebe - Aston Villa

Galbraith _ Doncaster Rovers

Laird - Swansea City

Levitt - Dundee

Andreas Pereira - Flamengo

Williams - Norwich City

Garner - Nottingham Forest

Mellor - Salford City

There has definitely been a lot of loans taking place this transfer window with a lot of youngsters getting the chance to go out and catch the attention of Ole at lower league clubs to start to make a name for themselves. At least by going out on loan they are getting the chance to get some game time under their belts and show people they are capable of playing in the first team. For me though I am just looking forward to seeing how well Williams & Tuanzebe do in the Premier League with other sides, especially Williams as I think soon enough he could be a first team regular for United as we have seen just what he is capable of and regular game time is only going to help him get better.

In's

Tom Heaton

Sancho

Varane

Ronaldo

Now here is the best bit, the players Manchester United actually brought in. There are 3 fantastic signings and one a bit random but hey we will take it. I am not quite sure what the thoughts behind getting Tom Heaton was as I mentioned earlier the goal keeper position is one we seem to be over run in but in case of any big injuries it is nice to have more experience backed up. Then we finally managed to sign Sancho, after always missing out in previous transfer windows to finally secure his signature is great and I think we could see him have a pretty good successful future at United. I have always been a bit on the fence about who lines up next to Maguire in central defense so to see us sign Varane was fantastic as he is a brilliant defender who I think could link up really well with Maguire and help stop us conceding whilst also grabbing some goals himself. Now the main event, one of my favourite ever Manchester United players has returned and I couldn't be any more excited. Cristiano Ronaldo has finally returned and with him not showing any signs of aging and still being an absolutely fantastic player I can't wait to see how well he does back in United colours. Ronaldo is one of the first players I really noticed and looked up to as a player and he was the first name I got on the back of a United shirt so to see him back is just fantastic.

It is going to be interesting to see how the squad will work together and if it lives up to its potential as on paper this is a squad that should be winning no matter what, the talent is huge and it is about time we saw United get back to winning plenty of trophies and really challenging for that Premier League top spot. With all they have brought in this summer I think it is safe to say January will be interesting as they might not even try build on the squad but then again they might have a few extra targets if some positions are falling short. I think by the end of the January transfer window though we could see a few more departures, mainly down to lack of game time. Overall I am very happy with the transfer window dealings this time around and fingers crossed it all works well.

What do you think to Manchester United's summer transfer window?

My 2021/22 Premier League Predictions

This weekend the Premier League final kicks off and it is bound to be another interesting season where I think we could see some shock results especially in the early part of the season. We have big names out injured from the Euro's and new players coming into squads that could change the whole way the team performs. It is safe to say that the build up to this season has been quite a good one with players showing their worth and big money transfers taking place, who thought we would have seen Grealish leave Villa this transfer window? And who would have thought Manchester United would sign Varane. I think these transfers could really shape up how the season goes. We have also seen the likes of Liverpool suffering with injuries once again so it that going to cause them a bad run of form in the lead up to Christmas, I guess only time will tell.

Maybe due to the new signings of teams especially the big teams we are going to have a close race for the top spot this team rather than one team running away with the league which we have been seeing far too often lately. It is about time we had a close season with multiple contenders rather than just one team being more than 10 points ahead. I think it could also be quite close down at the bottom end of the table too as some of those lower teams have lost key plays although some of the newly promoted teams have strengthened their team really well to put up a fight in the top flight. As for the middle of the table I think we will just see the usual suspects battling it out for the best position they can possibly get but one team I will be keeping my eye on is Villa, are they going to be fine without Grealish or will they struggle?

So here is how I think the table will look at the end of the season...

Manchester City
Chelsea
Manchester United
Liverpool
Arsenal
Leicester City
Wolves
Tottenham
Everton
West Ham
Brighton & Hove Albion
Aston Villa
Leeds United
Newcastle United
Burnley
Norwich
Crystal Palace
Watford
Southampton
Brentford

Looking at the Man City team you just think they will win the league but I think with Chelsea and Man Utd's transfers we could be looking at a close contest if they team gels together and they play as you would expect them to. I am really looking forward seeing how this season plays out and I am hoping with it being the first season with fans back it is going to be entertaining for us all. I know I am going to be watching as much Premier League as possible this season and will be keeping a close eye on the league and who is doing well. I do think the fight for the Champions League spots are going to be great and is going to be something for us all to keep an eye on.

Let's hope we see the newly signed players making an impact for their teams and give us a competitive season.

My Favourite Premier League Home Shirts 2021/22

I honestly think one of my favourite things about football these days is becoming the shirts that the teams are wearing each game. That is why I love the build up to a new season, seeing what shirts are released is great and seeing everyone else's reactions are fantastic but as my interest has grown in the shirt community I have noticed my reactions are changing. I have started looking at the little details on shirt these days and the templates used by each manufacturer, some are far to similar for each club whilst others stand out from the crowd. I think going into the 2021/22 season I am loving so many more shirts that have been released and there are some that have definitely captured my eye more than others but honestly this season I would say we have seen some clubs get some fantastic shirt options that are going to look great on the field.

It is safe to say narrowing my favourite home shirts from the premier league down was actually quite difficult as there are some great choices but I have somehow managed to narrow it down to my favourite five shirts which are...

Manchester United

Of course Manchester United are on here, after all I did do a full post focusing just on this shirt which you can read here. I really like this shirt which actually surprised me as I didn't think I would due to the new sponsor but now I have seen it I really do think it works well. The classic and retro style of shirt being very minimal also looks great and it makes a nice for it to be plain for a change. Sometimes simplicity works the best and in the case of this shirt that is definitely the case.

Leicester City

For a few seasons now I have liked Leicester's kits and this year is no exception. I really like what Adidas have done with this seasons shirt for Leicester as that little design on the shirt just makes it a little different from last years and actually works really well with the blue colour. I do think some Adidas shirts this year look similar but for me Leicester is a stand out one. I just wish the sponsor was a bit smaller on this one but to be honest at least the colour works well against the blue.

Watford

I will be completely honest here and admit I have never actually heard of Kelme in the past. However, I really like what they have done with this seasons kit as the bold yellow with black stripes going across is certainly fitting of the hornets nickname they carry. I actually really like the design of this shirt and it definitely stands out from the crowd, again though I just wish that sponsor was a little bit smaller as it does take over a lot of the front of the shirt which is the only thing that I aren't too keen on for the whole shirt.

West Ham

To be honest for me West Ham shirts are usually hit or miss and I can definitely take or leave them. This year though I absolutely love it, I aren't sure if it is because I am a sucker for a collar or if it is because it is a simple and classic looking design. I love how their is one main colour for the base of the shirt and then the only other colours are on the tops of the sleeves. This is definitely a very smart take on a football shirt and just goes to show Umbro still make great kits.

Chelsea

Finally on my list of favourite shirts we have Chelsea which my dad will definitely be proud of being included as he is a Chelsea fan. I don't really know what it is about this shirt but I absolutely love it. The crazy design looks fantastic and is definitely going to stand out on the pitch. I love how the shirt is mainly shades of blue with the yellow Nike logo and side panels as it doesn't take away from the design but adds a little more colour to it. I even quite like how the design goes from zigzags to checks as it just makes it so different. I think it could make your eyes go funny after a while though.

So there you have it those are the five home shirts that have made it as my favourites for the Premier League this season, it is safe to say we are being treated to some great shirts and over the coming weeks I will be posting my favourite away and third shirts for the Premier League along with some from other leagues around the world too. In fact you can definitely expect a lot more Shirt content over the coming months.

My Favourite Manchester United Players At The Moment

Manchester United haven't had the best start the best start to the season at all and something needs to start turning around in their favour soon. As many of you will know Manchester United have been a team I have followed closely for a long time now and I still do so seeing them in the state they are currently in isn't fun at all. However, although they are on a bad run now I still have favourite players who I think make a difference in the games they play in and if only the rest of the team worked like them, well maybe then results will turn around and they will start getting 3 points for a change. So here are my favourite Manchester United players currently...

McTominay

Scott McTominay is one of those players who at just a young age is already starting to show a lot of potential. I think if he gets the support and guidance needed from the club and the older midfielders at the club he could really become a household name and a world class midfielder. He isn't afraid to put in a challenge and is great at creating & being a part of any attacks too. He could really be a key midfielder for Man Utd in the next few seasons.

Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes is a player I have been really looking forward to seeing play and to be honest he hasn't disappointed me. Fernandes is certainly a play maker and if he could just get the rest of the team on the same wave length and they could be dominating in attacks once again. I just hope he doesn't get frustrated with the rest of the team as that could see his performance slip.

Martial

Last season Martial really impressed me, when Rashford was injured he really stepped up and made a positive impact and really helped United get back into those Champions League spots. I think with the right delivery and amount of game time this season he could certainly be a very influential player for United and how they turn their season around.

Williams

Just like with McTominay, Brandon Williams is another player who is just a young age but already starting to show progress and how good of a player he can be. In the 19/20 season he played some fantastic games and really showed what he was made of. Give him guidance and support and I think we could soon enough see the academy graduate become a permanent name on the United team sheet as the world sees his potential.

Rashford

Marcus Rashford isn't just an influential figure on the pitch he is also one off the pitch too. Honestly with all the press on him at the moment I was a little worried that he may buckle under the pressure and his performance on the field may suffer but that hasn't been the case at all. Towards the end of last season he was doing really well after returning from injury and he has started this season off pretty well too, he just needs the team around him to perk up too and we might start seeing more goals from him and some results.

Shaw

I never thought Luke Shaw would make it onto my favourite players list as I have never really been a fan of his. However, I think he has shown a bit of progress this season and been able to get United into some good positions with no one unable to offer him the support he needs when he has made a break down the left. I would definitely say he has been one of those standout players in an otherwise shocking defensive line which certainly needs work. He seems to be more confident attacking this season too and tracking back so his fitness must have certainly improved.

Obviously this list changes on a season basis as the seasons progress and players come and go so I am sure you will see plenty of updated versions of this post in the future but for now these are my top 6 players in the United team from the 19/20 & 20/21 seasons. Who are you enjoying watching play for Manchester United these days if anyone?

Growing Up Here Are The Manchester United Players I loved...

In terms of who I support in football my answer will always be Bradford City however, I certainly have a soft spot for Manchester United and even managed to get to a few games. I would pick up a new shirt most years and some of my favourite players ever have played for the club. I used to love sitting and watching games and keeping track of how well they were doing and there were just some certain players I could not get enough of. So here are my favourite Manchester United players I have witnessed play for the club over the years that I have been watching them...

Ruud Van Nistelrooy
Ah Van Nistelrooy one of the first attackers I really paid attention to. People used to claim he was a bit of a goal line hanger but for me it was a case of he was always in the right place at the right time. There was just something about him that drew me to watching him play he was certainly a stand out. I even have a Van Nistelrooy scarf somewhere.

Edwin Van Der Sar
90% of the time I would never consider adding a goalkeeper to a favourite list of mine but Van Der Sar was just an absolutely fantastic goal keeper and very rarely let his side down. He worked really well with those players around him and was a goalkeeper where you could see the passion when he played.

Roy Keane
I honestly don't think they make them like Roy Keane anymore. He was a no nonsense hard hitter who Man Utd could really do with these days. I can honestly say I would have never have wanted to play against him as one wrong move and that was it you have a target on your back for the full 90 minutes. What I still love about Roy is how he is a great pundit too as he is one of the ones who really knows what he is talking about still and you can still see the passion when he talks about United.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Ronaldo is certainly that one player I was mesmerized with growing up and honestly still to this day he is constantly impressing me as the skill he brings to the teams he plays on is another level. Growing up when I was playing I just wanted to play like him as he was that player who always stood out.

Nani
Nani is another player who always stood out when he played at United and honestly he still does over in the MLS for Orlando City in my opinion. I was so glad when he signed for the MLS team I support as it meant I had even more reason to follow him once again. There was just something about him that stood out when he was at United and that back flip celebration was great.

Patrice Evra
Of course footballs funny man is on this list. Evra was a fantastic defender and was also great at helping the team get into some very dangerous positions. Even when his time at United was up I was occasionally checking up on where he ended up and how he was doing and now his social media is one of my favourites with the videos he creates for them. I enjoy seeing him commentating on games too as he doesn't take it overly serious but certainly gets his point across.

Chicharito
I think it was the day Man Utd announced that they signed Chicharito that I said I wanted his name on the back of my shirt that year. He certainly didn't disappoint me either, I remember telling my grandad he would do well for the club and he said he wasn't sure but Chicharito definitely proved himself. So much so when West Ham signed him I even checked their progress too to see how well he was doing.

David Beckham
Would it be a favourite United players without the legend that is David Beckham? There was just something with Beckham that made the way he made those passes, curled those free-kicks and just ruled the pitch. We went to the reunion game last year and WOW he could have easily have still been playing with some of the passes he was picking out. For me he definitely made that number 7 stand out whilst I was growing up and he was certainly one of my biggest inspirations growing up.

So there you have it those are those Manchester United players that have stood out to me throughout the years that I have been watching. Who are some of your favourite past Manchester United players?

My Favourite Premier League Third Shirts 20/21

Carrying on with the favourite shirts this season series today we have my favourite Premier League 3rd shirts. To me teams 3rd shirts are fantastic as they let the club and kit manufacturer go a little crazy which we have certainly seen happen in previous years. This year some of the 3rd kits have been totally out there whilst others have toned it back a bit and gone for a classic look, so here are those 3rd shirts that made my favourites list....

Newcastle

Puma have smashed it with this shirt in my opinion. I love the purple and the neon colours on this shirt as they just work really well together. There is also a bit of a retro aspect to this shirt with the lined print in black on the shirt which is fantastic. The best part of this shirt is that it stands out without being too in your face.

Arsenal

I love the colours on this shirt and I really love it when teams incorporate the salmon pink into their kits as I think it is a great colour which we don't see too much. This shirt is quite a subtle shirt and the small amounts of pink just give it that little bit extra, the colour of the actual shirt is fantastic too with it being a bit of a blended blue / green colour.

Leicester

Leicester seem to have gone for a classic white shirt with a really subtle print across their shirt, the faded grey lines just add something extra to the shirt without it taking away from the overall simplicity. This shirt is by far one of my favourites as Adidas haven't gone overboard and have added extra without taking away from the simplicity of the design. It works with the clubs classic blue as the stripes too as they are able to stand out on the white background the shirt provides.

West Ham

West Ham have definitely kept it classic with their 3rd shirt, just look at the classic black with gold and how it is subtle but makes an impression. Umbro for me are a massively underrated kit supplier and this shirt for me just goes to prove how underrated they are. This shirt reminds me of a colour way you are most likely to find on a pair of boots not a shirt in the Premier League but it works really well.

Manchester United

Now I remember when I first saw this shirt I just laughed and thought why would any fan want to buy a zebra print shirt. But honestly the more I see it the more it grows on me. I think it is just the fact it is so different and out there for the club that it took me a little by surprise at first but now it is definitely a shirt I would love to add into my collection in the future.

So there you have it those are my favourite Premier League 3rd shirts for this season, what are yours?

My Favourite Premier League Away Shirts 20/21

Not only do we have some fantastic Premier League home shirts but once again the away shirts are also a great talking point with some fantastic designs. Some designs are nice and simple fitting in with clubs classic looks but some are totally out there and are certain standouts. So just like we did with the home shirts let's see what made my list of favourite Premier League away shirts...

Arsenal

Honestly I never thought I would like an Arsenal shirt but this away one just looks fantastic. I love how the colours work well together and those red lines just add a nice detail to the shirt making it standout but not being too in your face. I actually loved this as soon as I saw it where as most shirts take some time to grow on me.

West Ham

West Ham seem to have kept it nice and classic with their new away shirt with it simply being their classic claret and blue. The blue certainly takes centre stage on this shirt but is nicely broken down by the 2 claret stripes. I think I like this shirt is on the list down to how simple it looks.

Aston Villa

Similarly to the West Ham shirt Aston Villa have gone nice and simple too and kept the shirt looking nice and clean. Kappa are another kit maker who are bringing out some great shirts lately and this is definitely a favourite of mine from them. I love the subtle stripes with the little bit of blue in terms of the badge, logos and that bit on the collar.

Chelsea

I don't know what it is that makes me like this Chelsea shirt so much but honestly it is probably in the top 3. I think it might be down to just how different it is with the nice light blue with the different lines in different shades of blue to make up the pattern on the shirt. Again though it is just that big 3 sponsor on the front that makes me like it just a little less.

So there you have it that makes up my list of favourite Premier League away shirts. What are your favourites?

Favourite Stadiums I Visited So Far

I have been lucky enough to go to plenty of football games over the years, whether they have been in the league, FA Cup, friendlies or charity games. This means that I have been to plenty of  stadiums over the years and there have been some great stadiums and some not so great stadiums. So here are the favourite stadiums I have visited so far...

Valley Parade
Of course the home of Bradford City is the first on this list as it is where I spend most of my weekends and even plenty of Tuesday nights. This is a stadium I have been visiting for years now and I just love it (I might be biased as it is the stadium for the team I support). I actually think it is wasted on us at times as it can feel so empty during some games. But to say it is a stadium for a league 2 team you really can't go wrong, it is huge and there can be a brilliant atmosphere, we just need to start to bring it back.

Wembley Stadium
Unfortunately I have only been to this stadium once but I am hoping to go back plenty of times in the future and I want to eventually do the stadium tour for this one too. Even just the look of the stadium from a distance is great and you can't beat walking up to the stadium on Wembley Way, the atmosphere is fantastic walking on here & inside the stadium too. The views inside the stadium are fantastic too, we were actually sat at the back of one of the levels but you could see everything.

Etihad Stadium
Now this stadium I haven't actually watched the football at, I have been to a few concerts & rugby matches here and they were fantastic so I would love to experience an actual football match at the stadium. Honestly the first time I went I wasn't too sure what to make of it as the outside looks great but what would the inside look like? Well it was fantastic as I say the first time I went to this stadium was actually for a rugby game and it was fantastic, walking up those spiral ramps and finally seeing the pitch. The view from where we was sitting was great too.

City Academy Stadium
The Academy Stadium is where Manchester City Women play there games and it is an absolutely brilliant stadium. It is the perfect size for the women's team and academy teams which play there and is nice and open. The views are great but the best part is the leg room, some stadiums you go to you can feel cramped together and like there is not much room for movement however, here you can move about comfortably and there is actually space for people to get past you without the need to stand up.

Old Trafford
Of course the home of Manchester United is on the list. Old Trafford is a stadium I have been to many times over the years. I have been to this stadium for both rugby and football matches and I love it. The Stadium is great on both the inside and the outside and the atmosphere inside the stadium is fantastic too, it has honestly never disappointed me. I did the tour for my 16th birthday too and that is something I am going to remember forever and in fact I want to go back and do it again.

Anfield
Now I never thought that something to do with Liverpool would be in a favourite list of mine but honestly Anfield is such a great stadium. I would actually love to go back and do a stadium tour of the ground because I think it would be brilliant. We actually only went here for a charity game but the atmosphere was fantastic which make me wonder just what it would be like to go watch an actual Liverpool game there.

So there you have it those are the favourite stadiums I have visited so far, I would love to finally go to some stadiums abroad in the future as there is actually quite a few I have wanted to visit for a while now. What are some of your favourite stadiums you have visited?
